MODEL PEMILIHAN MODA TRANSPORTASI WISATAWAN PANTAI GANDORIAH KOTA PARIAMAN

Abstract

The beauty of this beach has made it the main attraction for visitors, both on weekdays, holidays and holidays using various modes such as private and public transportation and also using trains. This is interesting to observe, so the author entitled this research "Mode Choice Model for Tourists at Gandoriah Beach, Pariaman City". This research was conducted at Gondariah Beach, Pariaman City. The research period starts in November 2023. Field data collection involves distributing questionnaires for 7 (seven) days at the research location. The research variables consist of two variables, namely the dependent variable and the independent variable, which are as follows: Dependent variable (Y), namely walking, private vehicles, public transportation/buses, tourist transportation, trains. The independent variables (X) are: Gender, Age of respondent. Status, Respondent's education, Occupation, Income, travel time, number of vehicle owners, travel distance, Number of trips, travel costs, Reason for selection, Cost Per person, number of people on the trip Parking facilities available. Data analysis was carried out using the SPSS (Statistical Product and Service Solutions) application. The research results show that the factors that influence tourists to choose the mode of transportation when visiting Gandoriah Pariaman Beach are the travel time from home to the Gandoriah beach area and the costs required to make the trip. The mathematical model that can show the choice of transportation mode by tourists visiting the Gandoriah Pariaman Beach area using a multiple linear regression model is Y = 1.985 + 0.660 required and X12 is the travel costs that must be incurred.
